Spring water is underground groundwater that naturally rises to the surface from the earth’s own formations. It is pure, fresh and natural, whose journey to the earth’s surface has taken centuries.
Finland’s pure springs were formed after the ice age, when the continental glacier melted and retreated, creating sand and gravel formations. These thick and clean soil layers now function as nature’s own water reservoirs. When rainwater and meltwater seeps through sand ridges, it goes through a slow natural filtration process. This process purifies the water from impurities and enriches it with minerals before the water emerges on the ground surface as a clear spring. This is also how the Halla Spring located in Laukaa was formed.
